Re; Donations needed for “Shop with a Cop” program

The Chadron Police Department and “The Shop with a Cop” program is in need of your help.  Last year the Shop with a Cop program was able to serve approximately 180 kids through cash donations totaling $5,445.67, along with toys, food, and gift cards donations. This works out to be about $30 per child. Because of your kindness, many children within our community experienced a happy 2011 Holiday Season.

However; this 2012 year might not be so happy.  So far this year the Shop with a Cop program has only received a few small donations and has seen a greater increase in children’s needs.  It is believed that our economy is a big factor in the increased level of need and lowered number of donations.  Remember all the donations are used to benefit our local kids, during the Holiday Season.   The Chadron Police Department would like to ask for your support with the Shop with a Cop program by “digging deep” and giving a donation.

CIS Tea Party

CIS hosted their own tea party this year.  They practiced proper table manners, giving toasts and saying please and thank you.  We appreciate all the "goodies" the parents brought in to help celebrate.

Kids Fitness & Nutrition Day

Kids Fitness & Nutrition Day for Hwy 20 3rd Graders sponsored by PPHD and CSC will be at the NPAC from 9:00a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012.  A sack lunch will be provided.

3rd/4th Fall Music Program on Tuesday

Just a reminder to all the parents that our Fall Music Program is this Tuesday (November 13th) at 7:00.  Students are to meet at the high school auditorium at 6:45.

CMS Wrestling Results

Eight teams participated in the 2012 Chadron Middle School Wrestling tournament this Saturday.  We had a great turnout despite the change in weather.  Chadron uses a new program called Track Wrestling to run the meet.  Any tournament results can be accessed by logging into TrackWrestling.com  and searching for and selecting the town/school.  For CMS results, search for Chadron Middle School.

Chadron High School will host an Invitational on January 18-19.  TrackWrestling.com be the program used.  Advantages of this program include; coaches entering/scratching their own data, real time results  ease of sharing with the media.
