Free Dictionary

Dr. Schaeffer discusses how important it is to learn to read with the 3rd Grade
The Chadron Rotary Club is happy to have given your child a new dictionary.  They believe a personal dictionary will be a great help to learning to read.  While your student is in this very important development state, we hope you will encourage them to "look it up" in the dictionary when they need to know how to spell, how to pronounce, or what a word means.

There are also many interesting things in the final section of the book, including maps, information about countries of the world, the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution, and biographies of the Presidents.  Perhaps you can spend some time making a game of looking up things in  the book.
We commend you for sending your child to school each morning ready to learn.  The students we have worked with have been a credit to your parenting skills.  Keep up the good work.

-Your friends in the Chadron Rotary Club
