Spring and Fall, 2013 Chadron Community Hospital Memorial Garden Volunteers, hospital staff, and Girl Scout Gold Award candidates will install poured permeable pavement and plant trees and shrubs with drip irrigation and mulch. Scouts have fund-raised $4800 toward this project; the GNT group intends to support the Scouts and their project advisor to accomplish their goal of making the hospital landscape water-wise.
Spring and Fall, 2013 Chadron GNT's second year of sponsoring the tree-planting voucher program will be up and running by late April. To participate, trees must be purchased from Chadron businesses, selected from an approved tree list, planted according to approved guidelines, and inspected by a member of the Chadron Tree Board.
