4th Grade Orientation

May 4th, 2016

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Chadron Middle School will host an orientation for 4th grade students on May 12th from 2:00-3:00.  The purpose of the orientation is to allow the students a chance to meet their new teachers, tour the school, and ask questions about middle school.  We hope that all of the 4th graders will be able to attend.

When students arrive, they will be assigned to one of four groups that will rotate between Mrs. Merkel’s, Mrs. Hanson’s, Mr. Calkins’, and Mrs. Hinman’s 5th grade classrooms.  Each group will spend about ten-minutes in each room before meeting with Mr. Dressel and Mrs. Rogers for a question and answer session and tour.

Also on May 12th, Chadron Middle School will host a meeting for the parents of rising 5th grade students.  The meeting will begin at 5:00 in the middle school gym, which is located on the east side of the middle school building.  Parents can park on the north or east side of the building and use east gym entrance.  In addition to parent questions, the middle school’s block schedule, Cardinal Block, 5th grade rotation classes, 5th grade Choir/Band,  and the CMS After School Program will be discussed.

We are very excited to welcome your children to middle school and we hope that the orientation and parent meeting help make the transition easier.  If you have any questions, please contact the Chadron Middle School office at 432-0708.

Sincerely,

Nick Dressel
