First Day of School Moved to Monday, August 17th

With the many changes to the procedures of school due to Covid-19 concerns,
Chadron Public  Schools will spend two extra days with teachers for training and
preparations before students arrive.  Pending School Board approval at the next
regular meeting, the first day of school for students will be moved to August 17th.
No announcement has been made whether it will be a full day or 1:15 dismissal.

Teachers are already scheduled for three full day inservice training on a variety of
topics, the two extra days will provide time for additional training and practice of online
learning platforms, discussions on instruction and grades during possible prolonged
student absences as well as time to finalize classroom management and room arrangements
for preventative measures.
