Improving Vocabulary

Teachers at CIS work hard to improve vocabulary in all content areas.  Mrs. Hirning is shown here using vocabulary flashcards to teach new words to the students.  Today they made a game out of it similar to a Spelling Bee.  The kids had a lot of fun and remained engaged even after they were put out.

Words are first given with definitions and then used in a sentence.
