Next month (starting April 3rd) we start our testing season with NeSA Reading and Math. Nebraska State Assessments (NeSA) is designed to provide a picture of how students in the state of Nebraska are progressing toward meeting academic standards and how schools are doing to ensure learning success of students. NeSA tests students reading, writing, and math skills in grades 3-8 and 11. There are two parts to each test.
NWEA (MAPs) Testing will begin on April 18th. We encourage each student to do their very best. Measures of Academic Progress: measures growth, project proficiency on high-stakes tests, and inform how educators differentiate instruction, evaluate programs, and structure curriculum.
Students may need your help in getting plenty of sleep and eating healthy. Students will be working hard to reach their goals, please be sure to ask about their efforts and encourage them to do their best.
Each year our students work hard to become members of the Triple Crown Award Winners. These students meet or beat their MAPs goal in Reading, Language Usage and Math. Along with self satisfaction they are awarded with a pizza party at the end of the year and special recognition at the awards ceremony.
Good Luck to all students!
