Classroom Assignments for Next School Year

It's that time of year again already! Just a reminder from our handbook on the myriad of components that go into class assignment of students. Thank you! Section 2: Classroom Assignment of Students Placement will be made by recommendations from: the current grade-level teacher, Title 1 teachers (if applicable), resource teachers (if applicable), school counselor, principal, and the upcoming grade-level teacher. Factors taken into consideration by the principal would include: student’s academic needs, learning styles, teaching styles, student’s social emotional development and needs, student’s behavior needs, and student’s physical/motor skill development. Through an analysis of these factors the principal then develops the class lists for the following school year. The principal will do his/her best to accommodate parental input; however, please understand that a request does not guarantee classroom placement.
